Sanju Samson Courted by Several Squads

One of the most sought-after cricketers in the IPL right now is Sanju Samson. This famous batter-keeper played for the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the last season of the tournament, and they would like to keep him on their roster. However, the player has an opportunity to develop in another franchise. According to insider information, several IPL teams are interested in Samson’s services.

Interest from CSK 

One of the teams most interested in Sanju’s services is CSK. The five-time IPL champions had their worst season in their history, finishing tenth, and are looking to improve their results. However, CSK has not yet entered into formal talks with RR. That said, they are showing a lot of interest, a franchise official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told reporters.

Historically, CSK has been relatively inactive in the trading market. One of their renowned trades was acquiring Robin Uthappa from RR ahead of the 2021 season, which was a straightforward cash transaction. The current trading window is open, and it remains to be seen if Super Kings will make a formal approach to the Royals. It is worth noting that there are strong indications that other squads have also approached the RR regarding the cricketer.

Meanwhile, the Royals’ management recently concluded a review meeting in London to assess the previous tournament. The meeting reportedly addressed requests from several squads for various cricketers. The management is aware that Samson and Dhruv Jurel are valuable assets.
